What is Web App Security?

Web Application Security refers to security controls designed to protect websites at the application layer, seeking to prevent vulnerabilities in application code and business logic. Both WAF's and DPP's web module offer this kind of protection, preventing malicious communication among applications. DPP's host module and regular firewalls on the other hand, operate at the host/network layer, preventing malicious activity among machines and operating systems.
